Brainstorming Activities in Our Project Mustafa Gök-Arkarası Primary School Media plays a significant role in the formation of the emotions, thoughts, attitudes and behaviours of today’s people. This role becomes even more established with advancing technology. Therefore, it is necessary to raise the awareness of individuals about the negative effects of the media at very early stages of there lives, steering people to develop a critical perspective concerning the messages of the media. And this is only possible through media literacy, which is a new skill everyone should develop.   At the end of the study it was found out that there were significant differences in the frequencies of using mass media and the perspective of media and media literacy of those students taking media literacy classes and those who did not.  Our aim in this project is to enable our new generation children to apply the positive aspects of the media to their lives.
